Wycombe Heights Professional Dr. Noel Rousseau awarded Advanced Fellow Professional designation

Aldwickbury Park Golf Club professional Dr. Noel Rousseau has achieved the PGA’s Advanced Fellow Professional designation, joining a limited number of golf professionals around the country who have reached the status.

Noel has been at Wycombe Heights as a specialist coaching professional for 17 years and teaches golfers of all levels, from beginners through to his international clients, as well as running weekly group practice sessions for members and serving as lead coach for the Buckinghamshire county academy.

Sarah Blunden, General Manager at Wycombe Heights GC commented: “We’re very proud of Noel’s fantastic achievement, and I’m delighted to have him as one of our professionals.

“With the investment into our new driving range academy, which will open soon, it’s great that we’re able to offer our members and visitors top quality coaching from industry-recognised professionals.”

To meet the criteria a PGA professional must demonstrate higher levels of knowledge and skill in a variety of roles as well as being qualified for a minimum of 10 years.

Noel earned his PhD through eight years of research into motor learning and automaticity in the development of high-level golf performance, graduating from the University of Birmingham with a doctorate in philosophy.

“It’s great to have acknowledgement from the PGA which validates the hard work I’ve put into my research over the last decade.” said Noel.

Taking his research into practical coaching, Noel has developed his own golf coaching apps and subscription channel for content alongside his work at Wycombe Heights.

The next target for Noel is the Master Professional designation, the highest award a golf professional can achieve, as he looks to become one of only a handful around the world.
